Tipsy Squirrel is a sub-brand of Stim Craftsmanship Limited, a Hawke’s Bay family business known for creating bespoke home décor and furniture from reclaimed wine barrels and native timbers.
As part of what we do, there’s often excess timber left over from our builds. In our ongoing effort to minimise waste and make the most of every piece, Tipsy Squirrel was born.
Crafted from French oak wine barrels originally imported from France, these oak chunks have already lived an impressive first life—housing some of New Zealand’s notable Chardonnays and Syrahs for around five years.
Each chunk is cut to approximately 4cm and hand-sorted to ensure a quality product every time.
Available in Chardonnay or Syrah, Tipsy Squirrel oak chunks are perfect for adding rich flavour and character to your wood-fired BBQ or smoker. A simple way to elevate your cook-up—and something your mates will definitely appreciate.
